First ever market!

On Saturday 7th August, I did my first ever open air, in person market! I am so thankful for the lovely people who came to help me set up & clear away on Saturday and for anyone who popped by or bought something from me!

It was really wet, and rater cold so I’m also thankful for the friends who made sure that I had a hot mug of coffee and even a toastie from the local coffee shop!

It was a good experience for me and although I didn’t sell loads of stuff, I think part of what was important for me was getting the first one done! Also, now that I’ve done all the prep for the first one like mounting prints, packing cards into sets and collecting mugs from the printers – God willing, the next one will be a bit easier since I’ll have done the bulk of it already.

It was also good to get to chat to other sellers and meet potential collectors. There was a good bit of interest in my commissions, especially doggie portraits – and we all know how much I love painting your four legged friends! In between people stopping to chat at my stall, I spent some time sketching one of the businesses which was directly opposite my stall. I’ve added a few photos from the day to the bottom of this post…

Remember, you can also shop here on my website https://colzo.art where you’ll find mugs, cards, prints and more. I haven’t added the post cards to the shop just yet as I’ve needed a couple of days to recharge, and I need to take some pretty product photos. It will be the end of the week when I add them. However, if you’ve seen them on my socials and are interested, please do drop me a message and I’d love to help you!

Thanks again to Padiham Town Hall & Rotary club for the duck race and being my first in person market stall; thank you to the lovely friends and supporters who helped me setting up and packing away.

Love,

Colzo!
