When I meet people, I want to know about them, what music they listen to, what makes them tick. What was the song or songs that kept them going in hard times? What songs give them joy or hope? It could be because I spend most of my day in my headphones listening to music, but I do think everyone has some kind of soundtrack!
In this zine, it is my most personal yet. I’m looking back to Baby Colzo, her finding solace in music for dealing with very big feelings, and how grown up Colzo of now still finds comfort in music. The zine looks at the different devices that I used to listen to music and at the end there is a QR code that will take you to some of Baby Colzo’s favourite music.
Each illustration has been hand drawn by me in a loose, sketchy style.
You might be wondering, “what even is a zine?” A zine (pronounced zeen) is a DIY, self published pamphlet, a way for people to share ideas in an accessible way. They have history within science & sci-fi, punk & underground scenes too.
