The Long Night – Abstract Print
£15.00 – £20.00Price range: £15.00 through £20.00
Originally this image was going to be called “drowning”, however, I decided to call it “the long night” as I remembered this line from Dracula, “No man knows till he has suffered from the night how sweet and dear to his heart and eye the morning can be.” (Jonathan Harker’s Journal, Bram Stoker, Dracula), and Psalm 30 v 5: “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (ESV)
So many of us will know that feeling of the long night, whether it is the waiting in anticipation for something good or bad to happen, or the anxiety that so often feels bigger at night, how long the night is. That’s what this painting is to me.
